My name is Emily and I’m 20 years old.

I think it’s safe to say that I have been make up and fashion obsessed ever since I was a little girl. I was always experimenting with my mum’s make up since the age of about 4, I would try on my mum’s lipsticks and study all of her products. Although I had no idea how to apply make up, I think I have proof of this since my mum has a photo of myself with lipstick on my cheeks as blusher — if only I knew! After I’d finished looking through each and every product I would then take on the mission of going into her dressing room and trying on everything that caught my eye — I loved to cover myself in glitter and sparkles. When someone uses the phrase ‘like a kid in a sweet shop’ well my equivalent was a wardrobe and a room full of make up. That was my idea of heaven.

When I was a little older my mum finally bought me my own small selection of make up and taught me the basics of how to use it. I couldn’t have been happier. I always used to get told off at school for wearing make up but I didn’t care. It was so much fun to put on and experiment with different colours and textures.
Anyway, I have grown up watching endless youtube tutorials, reading magazines and constantly looking at product articles. So I then took matters into my own hands and decided to follow my passion. I applied to the London school of make up and had the most incredible time completing my course. I have recently qualified as an IMA make up artist and I can’t wait to share everything I have learnt and know with you. And of course, as you can imagine, I have tried many many products (as I started investigating in my mum’s drawers at the age of 4) so I am looking forward to giving all my advice on the current best buys.
